Maersk just announced that they will be applying a PSS (Peak Season Surcharge) of US 300.00 per TEU effective from 12th June.
This is being applied to all contracts and or block share agreements across the board. We thought to get this notification out ASAP. Please be advised we think ALL lines will be applying some form of increase in June. As of today no other announcements have been made. The shipping environment is fast changing present day. Please note there is a strong trend towards oceanfreight costs increasing. We will advise as soon as possible any further changes as details come to hand. I am very happy to discuss the current market environment – it is troubled and fast changing.
