USA to New Zealand – General Rate Increase

Please note we have been advised by the ship Lines that there will be a GRI applied per the following levels. The actual amount is dependant on which shipline your cargo is moved on;

                                      USD 200.00 – 300.00 per 20′ GP container

                                      USD 400.00 – 600.00 per 40′ GP / HC container

As a direct result of this FCL increase, all LCL rates will increase by USD 8.00 w/m. This increase comes into effect for cargo received into USA depots on/after 1st April 2021. USA to New Zealand – Origin Congestion Surcharge Increase
Due to severe congestion at the ports, the container terminals and rail yards across the USA continue to have a major impact on the supply chain. The reason for congestion include the COVID pandemic, labour shortages, truck power shortages, surges in import volumes, vessel berthing delays as well equipment shortages.
Please be informed that due to these challenges in moving cargoes via USA ports (Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Charleston) our US agents will be increasing the Origin Port Congestion Surcharge on all cargo moving ex USA to New Zealand as per below.

Please note that this is a temporary charge and we will keep you updated as to when it will no longer be applicable.

                                     current surcharge USD 5.00 per w/m
                                     updated surcharge USD 8.00 per w/m

The increase will be applied to all cargo received on/after 18th march 2021 for all USA to NZ destinations.
